Most chimneys are an afterthought. They sit exposed on the roof, collecting moisture, cracking over time, and doing nothing good for how the house looks. This Camas, WA home needed something better - a chimney solution that actually matched the quality of the standing seam metal roof it was sitting on.
We custom fabricated and installed both the chimney cladding and the chimney cap from scratch. Everything was built to fit this specific chimney, not pulled off a shelf and forced to work. The cladding panels follow the same clean vertical lines as the metal roof below them, and the cap sits tight and flush at the top with mesh screening built right in to keep debris and animals out.
That kind of cohesion doesn't happen by accident. When the cladding, the cap, and the roof are all speaking the same visual language, the finished result looks intentional - because it is. The dark finish ties everything together and gives the whole exterior a sharp, modern look that holds up over time.
Beyond the appearance, there's real protection happening here. The cladding shields the chimney structure from weather exposure, and the custom-fit cap keeps water, pests, and debris from getting into the flue. These aren't cosmetic upgrades - they're functional ones that extend the life of the chimney and reduce maintenance headaches down the road.
Every chimney is different. That's exactly why we fabricate everything in-house rather than working with one-size-fits-all stock parts. When the fit is precise, the performance follows.
