This one was a lot of fun to build. A custom concave chimney cap, fabricated from scratch and finished in a matte black powder coat - then installed on a beautiful natural stone chimney in Boring, Oregon. The concave profile isn't something you'll find sitting on a shelf at a hardware store. It's a fully custom piece, built specifically for this chimney.

That's kind of the whole point of what we do. Every chimney is different - different dimensions, different architecture, different style. A generic cap that almost fits isn't good enough. So we measure, we fabricate, and we make sure the cap seats properly and does its job. No gaps, no slop, no improvising on site.

The black powder coat finish does two things. First, it looks sharp against the light-colored stone - that contrast is hard to beat. But more importantly, powder coating is tough. It stands up to rain, UV, and temperature swings without peeling or rusting the way painted metal eventually will. For a homeowner in the Pacific Northwest, that matters. Oregon weather is relentless, and your chimney cap takes the full brunt of it.

Beyond the finish, the mesh screen around the base of the cap is doing real work too. It keeps birds, debris, and moisture out of the flue while still allowing proper airflow. That's the balance a well-designed chimney cap needs to strike - protection without restriction.

We serve homeowners throughout the Portland area and beyond. If your chimney is missing a cap, has an old beat-up one, or you just want something that actually looks good up there, we can build it custom to fit.
